Codelco tapped Epiroc for a $24 million, multi-year order that is Epiroc’s largest ever for digital solutions. The combination of digital solutions will optimize fleet management and ore production, provide visibility of people and machines underground, collect machine performance data, and help avoid vehicle collisions underground at El Teniente, the supplier said.
The solutions will help the miner reach its full potential, Epiroc said. “We are proud to expand our partnership with Codelco as they advance their digital journey, with an offering that provides an agnostic ecosystem across connectivity, automation, safety and productivity applications,” said Paul Bergström, president, digital solutions.
