Putzmeister reported its Mixkret 6 completed tests underground at Chuquicamata. The tests, co-run by Chilean concrete supplier Polpaico, started after product launch last year and trialed the unit at handling various slopes and at doing front-end discharges on robotic shotcrete equipment.

The Mixkret 6 can go up to 25 km/h and offers a concrete capacity of 6 m3.

Chuquicamata, in the Atacama Desert, was once the world’s largest open-pit copper mine.
