Blasting companies BME and Consbec formed the joint venture (JV) BME Mining Canada Inc., a manufacturing and service company for the surface and underground mining market. The JV will offer drill and blast services and will leverage Consbec’s footprint in Canada, BME reported.
Leadership at BME said the JV will provide customers with leading-edge tools and services for quality blasts while allowing Consbec to penetrate a new market. “Consbec were looking to extend its offering and to expand into underground in Canada so the synergy makes complete sense,” Joe Keenan, CEO, BME, said.
