Mineral processing equipment and systems supplier FLSmidth has launched a global benchmark survey to discover automation opportunities as part of a strategy to drive automation innovation in the minerals industry.
“We believe there are numerous automation opportunities yet to be fully utilized, such as ensuring effective production asset management, enhancing performance and improving recovery rates,” said Rafael Martinez, vice president, Automation USA.
The initiative, “Find Your Hidden Treasure,” includes participants from North and South America, Australia and South Africa. Participants will receive a personalized benchmark report with comments by industry analyst ARCweb. In addition, respondents will be eligible to participate in a drawing for a free automation plant audit conducted by FLSmidth specialists to evaluate automation opportunities.
FLSmidth said it hopes to create a dialogue with its customers on opportunities to further automate their operations and use the feedback and survey results to shape future automation solutions in partnership with participants. The benchmark survey, according to the company, is a first of its kind analyzing automation solutions in the minerals industry.
