Blake Rhodes and Geoff Burns will join the Triple Flag board. Burns co-founded Maverix Metals Inc. in 2016 and has served as the chair of the Maverix board since its inception. Triple Flag recently acquired Maverix. Rhodes retired from Newmont in April 2022, where he was the senior vice president of strategic development and a member of the executive leadership team. Triple Flag also announces that Director Sir Michael “Mick” Davis has stepped down from the board. Warren Beil will join Triple Flag from Maverix as general counsel, and James Dendle has been promoted to senior vice president, corporate development.
