Teck Resources has appointed Jonathan Price as CEO succeeding Don Lindsay who plans to retire as of September 30, 2022, following an outstanding 17 years. Price currently serves as executive vice president and CFO for Teck. Before joining Teck in October 2020, he worked at BHP for 14 years in a variety of senior roles. Harry “Red” Conger was named president and COO. Conger has served as executive vice president and COO for Teck since September 2020. Prior to joining Teck, Conger held the role of president and COO – Americas with Freeport-McMoRan. Price and Conger will also be appointed to Teck’s Board. Crystal Prystai, currently vice president and corporate controller, will serve as interim CFO. Tyler Mitchelson has been appointed senior vice president, copper growth, for Teck. He most recently held the role of metallurgical coal CEO for Anglo American in Australia. Jeff Hanman has been appointed senior vice president, sustainability and external affairs for Teck. He succeeds a retiring Marcia Smith.
