Rio Tinto will be condensed into four product groups: aluminum, copper and coal, diamonds and minerals and iron ore. Energy Chief Executive Harry Kenyon-Slaney will leave the business. The aluminum and iron ore product groups remain unchanged.

Nancy Guayhas been appointed senior corporate director, technical services. She has been with Agnico Eagle since 2012, most recently as corporate director, business strategy.Michael Timmins has been promoted to vice-president, corporate development. Timmins has been with Agnico Eagle since May 2006.

Hunt Mining Corp. has engaged Martin Fromm and Klaus Triebel with project management and engineering expertise. Most recently, Fromm was project manager for Patagonia Gold S.A. at both their Cap Oeste and Lomada de Leiva mines in Santa Cruz, Argentina, and Triebel was manager of resource estimation at Coeur Mining.

Cleverly will also assume the responsibilities of the current CEO, Edward Marlow, who will also remain on the board as a nonexecutive director.

Kanagy was awarded the 2015 MMSA Gold Medal by the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America (MMSA) at their annual dinner on February 16 in Denver, Colorado. The MMSA Gold Medal is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the mining industry.
