Harry M. “Red” Conger IV has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering for his contributions to copper mine and plant design and for his leadership in helping Freeport-McMoRan Inc. become the world’s top private copper producer. He will be inducted at a ceremony on October 6. Conger is president and COO in the Americas for Freeport, in Phoenix.
