Katanga Mining Ltd. appointed Danny Callow as CEO and director and Paul Smith has been appointed as CFO of Katanga. Callow is currently head of Africa Copper Operations of Glencore International. Smith joined Glencore plc in July 2011 and is currently the head of strategy of Glencore Plc. Grant Sboros, current CFO, will continue in his role as site chief financial officer of Katanga’s 75% owned operating subsidiary, Kamoto Copper Co. SA (KCC). Samuel Rasmussen, the current COO, will assume the role of managing director of operations at KCC. The current CEO Johnny Blizzard has resigned.
