Harry M. “Red” Conger, president and COO-Americas, Freeport-McMoRan Inc., was named the 2018 recipient of the prestigious Ankh Award for Copper Man of the Year. The Copper Club’s Ankh Award, named for the ankh, a graphic symbol for the red metal dating back to ancient Egypt, also known as the Copper Man of the Year Award, was first presented in 1962 to honor outstanding individual achievements in and contributions to the copper industry.
