The Coring Company launched SCS Exploration, software that optimizes planning, fieldwork, sampling, and analysis in prospecting applications. The software, using the based SCS cloud platform, provides geologists with a comprehensive tool for planning and conducting fieldwork, the company said.
SCS Exploration allows for overlaying various relevant layers on topographic maps with underlying information within the application, providing geologists with a better and more comprehensive understanding of the area to be prospected, The Coring Company said. All data collected from fieldwork and laboratories is entered directly into the system, making data management easier since all prospecting information is available within a single application.
The solution is accessible wherever WiFi or mobile communications are available. An app for mobile phones and tablets allows for data entry in the field. The data goes to the cloud when connectivity is restored.
