Beginning with this blog post, E&MJ launches our multimedia efforts to draw broader attention to the subject of mining sector CSR – one of the most critical challenges facing one of the world’s most important industries.
“Digging Deeper” will constitute a broad-based campaign through a variety of media platforms – including webinars and videos – along with follow-up print coverage in the form of E&MJ news stories, analyses and columns.
We welcome participation from a variety of actors: From individual miners and CEOs to NGOs and industry associations, all within a mosaic of groups and individuals worldwide that have a stake in responsible business – and the future of mining itself.
We want to hear your voices, your ideas and – above all – your stories. And although the industry is steeped in tradition, change, too, is a constant: Indeed, at its core, mining is a business fusing hard work, technology and innovation – and no small amount of risk.
