The University of Texas Health and Safety Training Center, working in collaboration with, Castleview, a video agency, released a 30-minute documentary, We Are Miners, this week. It focuses on the global benefits of mining, the opportunities within the industry, the unyielding adherence to safety protocols, the technological advancements that have evolved, and how important supporting the mining industry is. The producers interviewed some of the leading minds within the mining industry all over the United States. These experts walk viewers through the many reasons why the world as we know it cannot exist without extraction of minerals.

The documentary presents modern mining through the lens of both open-pit and underground mining in the western U.S. It discusses the direction the industry is heading with technology and automation, and all the professionals that will be needed to support the industry. Sharing this video with others, who may not know about mining, could help them better understand the business.
