The SME Foundation is organizing a backcountry skiing excursion for February 28, the Thursday after the annual Society of Mining Engineers meeting in Denver. They have arranged for a professionally guided, private snow-cat skiing adventure near Empire, Colorado. Snow boarders are also welcome.
The cost is $700 per person and all proceeds go to the foundation. Strong skiing/riding ability is recommended and participants will have to organize their own transportation to Empire. For more information, contact SMEcatski@gmail.com.
