A retired man who has been combing the same area in the northern Goldfields of Western Australia finally struck gold when he found a nugget worth at least $110,000, according to the AAP.

The man who didn’t want to be named said it was a 3.23-kg piece containing 2.11 kg of gold. It was about 800 mm in clay soil, taking him more than two hours to carefully dig it out, as reported by AAP.

The nugget has been named “Duck’s Foot’” because of its shape.
