BUENOS AIRES, Argentina—Mining companies, vendors and suppliers, mining consultants, public and private institutions, and other entities gathered this week at Arminera, an important mining conference for Argentina. More than 200 exhibitors from 12 countries were looking to generate new business, exchange knowledge and network. This time, the show area covered around 10,000 m² and the organizers expected to receive 7,500 visitors.

The opening ceremony took place last Tuesday, May 7 with Minister of Work and Production, Dante Sica and the Minister of Transportation Guillermo Dietrich, and other officials in attendance.

Besides the exhibition, Arminera 2019 provides both exhibitors and visitors with interesting, worthwhile technical conferences given by well-known local mining suppliers like Agrekko, Sandvik, Liebherr or Orica. The set of conferences cover different topics such as local investment, sustainability, digitalization and automation in surface and underground mining, and corrosion engineering. Arminera is organized by the (CAEM) Argentinian Chamber of Mining Companies and Messe Frankfurt Argentina.
