Astec Industries Inc. through its regional office Astec Industries Africa Middle East signed a distribution contract at the beginning of June appointing Aramine as the official dealer of Astec Material Solutions products in several strategic countries in West Africa — Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Togo, Niger — and the Maghreb — Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco.

Aramine has had a longstanding partnership distributing Astec’s BTI range of rock breaker and boom systems, according to Jaime Martel, key regional and product manager and head of distribution partnerships for Aramine. “The extension of the offer to all products of the Material Solutions Group (previously known as the Aggregate and Mining Division) will enable us to respond more broadly to the needs of our customers on the African continent,” he said.

Aramine will rely on its subsidiaries and partners in the African regions to strengthen the presence of Astec Industries.

“With the expansion of the Astec portfolio distributed by Aramine, this is an important evolution in our commercial relations, as we collaborate in very active and demanding markets in West Africa and the Maghreb,” said Vinesh Surajlall, director of material solutions, Astec Africa Middle East. “With this partnership, we are developing a new customer proximity offer, combining expertise, services and quality products.”

Headquartered in France, Aramine specializes in mining and underground solutions and operates in more than in 80 countries. Through its African subsidiary, Aramine is also an official distributor of Atlas Copco, Epiroc, Normet, and HBM machines in a selection of countries.
