X-Terra Resources Inc. has purchased a 100% ownership interest in the Ducran property from a private prospector. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the Ducran property is comprised of 28 mining claims located in the Eeyou Istchee/Baie James Territory, 15 kilometers south of Chapais, Québec.

The claims are located at the eastern extremity of the Abitibi Subprovince, which contains the Chibougamau mining camp that includes the Doré Lake and Chibougamau Lake sectors, which have a historical production of 47.5 million metric tons (mt) at 1.72% copper, 2.30 g/mt of gold, 1.6 billion lb of copper and 3.2 million ounces (oz) of gold. It also includes the Chapais mining camp, which has a historical production of 24.2 million mt at 2.24% copper, 1.13 g/mt of gold, 1.1 billion lb of copper, 800,000 oz of gold and 8.2 million oz of silver.

Michel Chapdelaine, vice president of exploration and development of X-Terra Resources, completed the evaluation work in connection with the company’s due diligence on the Ducran property, which consisted of stripping in two areas and drilling three exploratory holes.
