Seven attorneys have joined Husch Blackwell’s Energy & Natural Resources and Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation groups. Joining the firm’s Washington, D.C., office is Henry Chajet, Brian Hendrix, Robert Horn and Avi Meyerstein. Joining the firm’s Denver office are Mark Savit, Donna Pryor and Erik Dullea. All seven attorneys previously practiced with an AmLaw 100 firm focused on workplace safety law, litigation, regulation, public policy and crisis management.

Savit counsels clients in government investigations and regulatory matters and litigates improper enforcement actions and whistleblower cases. He has extensive experience in mining and oil and gas, health, safety, and environmental law, industrial disaster response and regulatory and legislative services.
Hendrix advises clients on environmental, health and safety law, with a focus on litigation, incident investigations, enforcement defense and regulatory compliance counseling. He has extensive experience with federal and state agencies and has represented numerous clients in manufacturing, natural resource production, and service-related industries. He has a strong background in the mining and oil and gas industries, with an interest in surface and underground mining, drilling, minerals and metals, processing, refining, aggregates, cement, and coal mining.
Pryor focuses on commercial and administrative litigation related to mine safety and occupational safety and health. Pryor also assists clients in crisis management and strategic communications related to workplace health and safety issues. Pryor has extensive experience in the production of precious metals, aggregates, cement, industrial minerals, coal, salt, potash, phosphate, granite, limestone, and oil and gas. She combines her legal skills and government knowledge with her litigation prowess for clients facing complex problems.
Horn has had a distinguished and extensive career in both the private and public sectors. He serves corporate, nonprofit, and international clients on public policy and regulatory issues in the areas of health and safety, energy, and environmental and economic development. Horn previously served as corporate officer for the Detroit Edison Co. and led the company in all regulatory and legislative matters before Congress, the executive branch and administrative agencies.
Chajet provides strategic counsel to clients, to prevent or reduce risks from situations of crisis and uncertainty, in environmental, employee health and safety, and antitrust law matters. He represents clients in rulemaking and legislative proceedings, and in investigations and litigation involving unfounded enforcement actions; fatal or serious injuries; explosions; chemical releases; fires; manufacturing, transportation and construction accidents; mining; industrial disasters; and tort allegations. Chajet combines legal and industry experience with public policy and litigation skills. He served as senior counsel to the American Mining Congress.
Meyerstein comes to the firm with a practice focused on workplace safety and health matters, litigation and appellate law. He represents clients on MSHA, OSHA, CSB and other safety agency compliance, investigations, enforcement actions and appeals. He has participated in the successful defense and settlement of hundreds of penalty cases and assisted clients in maintaining cooperative relationships with agencies while presenting a vigorous defense.
Dullea’s practice focuses on regulatory compliance, with an emphasis on mining and transportation industries and government contractors. He represents mine operators in MSHA enforcement actions, advises companies in challenges to OSHA enforcement actions, and advises government contractors on transactional matters, bid protests and civil litigation.
