SilverCrest Mines announced record silver and gold production results for the second quarter of 2015 from its Santa Elena mine located in Sonora, Mexico. Production for the first half of 2015 was more than 1.1 million oz of silver and more than 27,000 oz of gold, or more than 2.9 million silver equivalent (AgEq) oz. As a result of this milestone, the company said it is increasing its 2015 production market guidance from a range of 4 to 4.4 million to a range of 4.7 to 5.1 million AgEq oz.
For the second quarter, mill throughput averaged 3,059 metric tons per day (mt/d); in line with nominal capacity of 3,000 mt/d. Average silver and gold recovery rates of 74% and 96%, respectively. Bullion inventory at the end of Q2 2015 included more than 247,000 oz of silver and more than 5,000 oz of gold.
