Sedgman Ltd. has been awarded a $59.8 million bid as lead contractor for Alcoa’s Kwinana alumina refinery treatment plant in Western Australia, officials said; design is under way with completion pending Q2 2016.
The subsidiary-owned operation will generate reduced-moisture bauxite residue in lieu of new drying areas. The Scope of Work (SoW) includes construction and commissioning for the plant and infrastructure.
