Toronto will host the 81st annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s (PDAC) convention March 3-6, 2013. In 2012, more than 30,000 people attended. With Canada leading all countries with 18% of global mineral exploration spending and Toronto as its finance capital, “we’re looking forward to another banner year for the convention,” said Glenn Nolan, president, PDAC.

Investors, analysts, executives, geologists, prospectors and delegations from around the world will be attending. Last year, 25% of delegates came from overseas. “Programming reflects economic and industry trends, and provides networking and educational opportunities to encourage a healthy mineral exploration industry,” said PDAC Executive Director Ross Gallinger.

The convention includes technical programs by industry experts, a trade show with 445 exhibitors promoting technology, products and services, an “Investors Exchange” featuring 580 exhibitors and prospectors along with a Corporate Social Responsibility event series.
