DTEK’s Chervonyi Partyzan mine has resumed coal mining after a 50-day operations suspension. Currently, the Chervonyi Partyzan mine is producing coal by two out of its three longwalls. All employees are back at their workplaces. On September 3, DTEK’s miners produced 1,345 metric tons, which is only 17% of the average daily output before the start of hostilities. The mine will be gradually ramping up its production and resume the operation of the third production face, provided there are no military operations in the area.
As reported earlier, on July 10, the Chervonyi Partyzan mine of DTEK’s Chervonopartyzanske mine group suspended coal mining because of hostilities and to not endanger the lives of more than 2,500 miners. After that, the mine operated in a special regime only to maintain the key processes: ventilation of mine workings and water pumping to prevent flooding of the mine workings and mining equipment. DTEK is the largest energy company in Ukraine.
