The Milpo polymetallic project is running a US$5 million budget for drilling and other geological works. The mining company revealed that with the new drilling work they have been doing since the middle of April, they will be able to generate a new estimate of resources at the beginning of 2018.

The Shalipayco project, a zinc deposit located in the central highlands in Junín, had a preliminary study carried out between 2008 and 2014 where drilling and exploration work was carried out with a further 91,000 meters of drilling. This allowed Milpo to make a preliminary estimate of the resource at a little more than 20 million tons with more than 5% of zinc.

Shalipayco, located 170 kilometers northeast of Lima and 35 kilometers southeast of Cerro de Pasco, also has lead and silver as byproducts. The Shalipayco project is a Mississippi Valley Type (MVT) field and covers approximately 21,000 hectares.
