MDM Engineering Group has been contracted to complete a Pre-feasibility study for GoGold Resources Parral tailings project in Chihuahua, Mexico. The Parral tailings project comprises dry land tailings deposited from the historical Mina La Prieta silver and base metal mine. The tailings were deposited in two separate areas referred to as Zones 1 and 2.

“Preliminary work shows that a low cost mining and heap leach recovery process could be a viable option to develop the property,” said Terry Coughlan, president and CEO, GoGold. “With the contracting of MDM along with our new COO Bob Harris we are well positioned to advance the project quickly through feasibility and potentially production. The experience that MDM brings to the table is very impressive and we feel comfortable with their progression.”

“MDM will bring the experience of the team’s 35 gold plants designed and built over the years, which includes two 650 metric ton per month tailings plants built in the last three years,” said Dave Dodd, chief metallurgist, MDM.

The Parral tailings project is held by GoGold’s wholly-owned Mexican subsidiary, Grupo Coanzamex S.A. de C.V. GoGold, a Canadian exploration company, recently acquired the Parral tailings project from Absolute Gold in August of this year.
