JKTech Pty. Ltd. officials received the Minerals and Energy Award at the Premier of Queensland’s Export Award ceremony in Brisbane on October 24. JKTech now joins the 51st Australian Export Awards from which a national winner will be selected on November 26 in Melbourne.
The award reflected overall international success in primary processing production of extractive and value-added minerals or energy products, technology, equipment, and services to the minerals and energy industries.
JKTech was a further finalist for the Environmental Solutions Award Information and for the Communication Technology Award Infrastructure and Construction Award.
JKTech provides mining industry technology for environmentally responsible operations with initiatives such as SUSOP, a new management of sustainable links and interactions technique in safety, water, environment and social responsibility. In Q4 2012, SUSOP won the international Sustainable Technology Award from the U.K.’s Institution of Chemical Engineers in Manchester for innovation in sustainable development for resource companies. Ltd. is the technology transfer company for the Sustainable Minerals Institute at the University of Queensland and provides services in construction and infrastructure of mining projects globally.
