Veris Gold Corp. (formerly known as Yukon Nevada) recently reported that its Jerritt Canyon gold mine and processing facility, located in Elko, Nevada, USA, and operated by Queenstake Resources USA Ltd., produced and shipped 12,882 oz of gold in September.

“The gold production achieved in September and overall in the third quarter demonstrates that the Jerritt Canyon operation is running well, producing as planned and has now achieved more than four months of steady state production,” said Randy Reichert, co-CEO and COO. “This is the greatest amount of organic gold production in any quarter from Jerritt Canyon since 2006.” The company plans to ramp up the run rate production to 16,000 oz/month by the end of December 2012.
