Fordia, a leading manufacturer in the diamond-drilling industry, received the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité for its management and overall performance at the Awards Ceremony for the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité, organized by the Quebec Society for Quality (QSQ). The Grand Prix is the QSQ’s highest honor. It was presented by Pauline Marois, the premier of Québec, during a gala luncheon in November.

The President of Fordia, Luc Paquet, accompanied by Denis Landry, executive vice president and general director, accepted the award on behalf of the company. “I am extremely proud of the accomplishments of our employees since the company’s founding in 1977,” he said. “Thanks to the combined efforts of all our departments, we have achieved new heights in terms of our performance. We are very honored to receive this prestigious award for the second time in our history.”

Fordia received a Grand Prix québécois de la qualité in 2003. This is the first time the QSQ has given an award to the same company in two different categories. According to the QSQ, Fordia’s teamwork and good business practices are what set it apart and make it one of the best businesses in Quebec. Its brand and the quality of its products are increasingly recognized throughout the world. This year, the company opened offices in Colombia and South Africa, as well as distribution outlets in China and Mongolia.
