Guardvant was recently awarded multiple orders from Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco), the world’s largest copper miner, for operator alertness monitoring and proximity awareness systems. More than 500 OpGuard and ProxGuard systems will be in operation once installation is complete at two Codelco mines in Chile.

Guardvant will also be installing its mobile server with Codelco, allowing for multiple applications running a common hardware platform. The system will reduce clutter of multiple monitors and hardware. As operator fatigue and blind spots are two leading causes of mining equipment-related accidents, Guardvant’s OpGuard and ProxGuard systems will monitor operator behavior for fatigue and distraction while maximizing visibility.

Founded in 2010, Guardvant, Inc. is a global technology company working to enhance operator performance via signal processing. Guardvant also develops fleet management and high precision GPS guidance systems with headquarters in Tucson, Arizona, USA.
