Officials at CAE Mining have announced the delivery of turnkey training, including two CAE Mining Terra simulators and e-learning courseware, to a Mexican facility owned by top silver producer Fresnillo plc.
CAE President Damian McKay underscored the innovative nature of the implementation. “The solution goes beyond the standard familiarization of operators with cabin layout and basic operation,” he said, noting high-fidelity of the only Type 7 simulator manufacturer in the industry.
Fresnillo has joined a number of leading mining companies adopting aviation and military training technologies to enhance productivity and safety. The systems also feature a 270° wraparound screen and drilling equipment.
