ABB recently won an order for a long-term service agreement (LTSA) to maintain and improve the performance of two installed ABB gearless mill drive systems at the Climax Molybdenum mine, which is owned by Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold, located near Leadville, Colo.
To make the collaboration as easy as possible ABB will provide one single contact person: ABB s life cycle manager. He will coordinate all tasks related to the service agreement and work with a dedicated team to guarantee the availability of service staff when they are needed. The agreement covers scheduled maintenance services and remote diagnostic services including troubleshooting, ABB Support Line, periodic maintenance report and condition monitoring.
