Doray Minerals poured the first gold at its 100%-owned, high-grade Andy Well gold project in the northern Murchison region of Western Australia on August 6. The project is located 45 km north of Meekatharra, Western Australia, and is producing from the Wilber Lode deposit, which currently hosts 714,000 mt of resources at a grade of 14.6 g/mt, for a total of 335,000 oz.

The 200,000-mt/y Andy Well processing plant includes gravity and CIP processing circuits. The first Andy Well gold pour consisted of a 144-oz doré bar produced from the gravity circuit.

Production from the Wilber Lode is expected to average 75,000 oz/y over a mine life currently estimated at 3.7 years; however, the project has upside potential from the conversion of current resources to reserves; from the Judy Lode, which is adjacent to the Wilber Lode; and from additional discoveries on the property. A current drilling program is testing the Judy Lode for depth and strike extensions and is probing the property for additional high-grade quartz lodes.

Doray Minerals is headquartered in West Perth, Western Australia, and was first listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in February 2010. The company controls a 1,700-km2 landholding in the Murchison region, as well as a number of gold prospects in the Central Gawler region of South Australia.
