Outotec’s New Filter Products Focus on Higher Performance PDF Print E-mail

Outotec has launched a new line of filter service products—filter cloths and ceramic plates—tailored to perform with its range of Larox filter units.

According to the company, its new filter cloths enable optimized performance and process results for each application and filter. The filter cloth collection covers the entire permeability range. Among the benefits claimed for the new line of cloths are optimized throughput and filtrate clarity, high discharge levels and dry cakes, excellent cake release and resistance to blinding, stretch, shrink and abrasion resistance, and extended cloth life contributing to high filter availability.

Outotec’s Larox CC plate family has been extended with two new ceramic filter plates—Red and Orange—which the company claims enables high filter discharge levels and dry cake, extended filter life and high availability. Orange plate is a filter medium with the original cast structure and a special fluorine-resisting formula designed for challenging environments and processes emphasizing low cake moisture; for example, base metal applications. Red plate has a monolithic membrane structure with a highly porous core layer and is designed for processes emphasizing high capacity, such as ferrochrome applications.
