CanAlaska Enters C$20.4M Option Agreement With De Beers Canada

CanAlaska Uranium has entered into an option-participation agreement with De Beers Canada for exploration expenditures of up to C$20.4 million on kimberlite-style targets staked by CanAlaska in the northwestern Athabasca basin, Saskatchewan. The claims cover 75 kimberlite-style targets developed from a 2011 high-resolution airborne geophysical survey carried out on behalf of the Saskatchewan Geological Survey. The survey, flown at 400-m line spacing, revealed a series of discrete magnetic anomalies.

Nevsun Exploration Expanding Bisha Regional Resources in Eritrea

Nevsun Resources has reported new assay results from drilling at the Asheli prospect that is part of an ongoing regional exploration program at its Bisha operations in Eritrea. Nevsun discovered the Asheli deposit in April 2015, with initial exploration focusing on a 700-m-long section of highly sericite- and chlorite-altered felsic volcanics and associated small, pod-shaped surface gossans. Limited historical drilling had intersected only narrow stringer-style mineralization, with minor chalcopyrite and sphalerite, but no massive sulphides.

Seabridge Grows its Deep Kerr Gold-Copper Resource

Seabridge Gold has reported an updated mineral resource estimate for the Deep Kerr gold-copper deposit at its 100% owned KSM project in northwest British Columbia, Canada, that increases the deposit’s inferred resource to 1.01 billion metric tons (mt) grading 0.35 g/mt gold and 0.53% copper. Contained metals total 11.3 million oz of gold and 11.8 billion lb of copper.
