2016 Field Work at IKE Sets Table for New British Columbia Mining Camp

Amarc Resources reported that 2016 field work at its IKE porphyry copper-molybdenum-silver discovery and nearby prospects in British Columbia’s Coast Range continue to support the potential for development of an important new mining camp. All 21 holes drilled at IKE during the past three years have intersected long intervals of chalcopyrite and molybdenite mineralization over an increasingly broad area measuring 1,200 meters (m) east-west by 1,000 m north-south and extending to depths of more than 500 m. The discovery remains open to expansion in all lateral directions and to depth.

Exploration Ramp Being Advanced at Integra’s Lamaque-South Project

Integra Gold has awarded Promec Mining with the contract to construct an exploration ramp to access the Triangle deposit on Integra’s Lamaque-South gold project in Val-d’Or, Quebec. All required equipment has been mobilized to site, and ramp construction is in progress. The surface infrastructure and ramp collar required for the ramp were completed in the fall of 2015 at a cost of C$5.6 million.

Aston Bay Pursuing C$4M Field Program at Storm Copper Project

Aston Bay Holdings has initiated at $C4 million field program at the Storm copper project on Somerset Island, Nunavut, Canada, where BHP Billiton can earn a 75% interest in the project by spending a minimum of C$40 million on qualifying exploration expenditures over a period of up to nine years. Aston Bay is currently the operator at the project and has no required exploration expenses for the first four years of the option agreement. BHP Billiton has the right to assume operatorship of the project at any time.
