Exploration Briefs - June 2015

Nevsun Resources reported positive 2015 drilling results from its Harena mining license 10 km south of its Bisha mine and processing plant in Eritrea, East Africa. The company discovered volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization at Harena in 2005 and as of February 2015 had outlined 3.2 million mt of indicated resources grading 0.8% copper and 3.8% zinc and 6.4 million mt of inferred resources grading 1.1% copper and 3.7% zinc.

Exploration Briefs - May 2015

Lundin Mining has announced initial proven and probable mineral reserves for two recently discovered orebodies at its Candelaria mine in northern Chile. The orebodies, known as Susana and Damiana, are located immediately south of and below the current open pit.

Exploration Briefs - April 2015

Northern Star Resources reports that exploration drilling at its Jundee gold mine in Western Australia has increased resources by 299,000 oz to 1.15 million oz in 9.2 million metric tons (mt) grading 3.9 g/mt and reserves by 32,000 oz to 415,000 oz in 2.7 million mt grading at 4.7 g/mt.

Exploration Briefs - March 2015

Integra Gold Corp. initiated a 50,000-m drill program at its Lamaque gold project in Val-d’Or, Québec, Canada, in late January. The company had four diamond drill rigs active on the property and expected to have up to seven rigs operating within weeks. As many as seven rigs will be active during the winter months, with an estimated two rigs remaining in use during the summer and fall.
