South Africa-based AquaDam says its Future line of water storage tanks are made from Zinc Alume, a metal that is seven times stronger than galvanized steel and guaranteed not to rust. These modular tanks bolt together and have a food-grade PVC internal liner. The range of Future tanks are capable of storing water and chemicals from 13 Kl (3,400 gallons) to 3,000 Kl (800,000 gal) in various configurations from 3.76 m in diameter x 1.2 m high up to 28.55 m diameter x 4.8 m high. All Future tanks come with a domed roof fabricated with hot dip galvanized roof trusses and the option of ordering conventional zinc or Zinc Alume roof sheets. Sizes and specifications of outlets, inlets, vortex inhibitor assemblies, overflows, level indicators and ladders can be tailored to specific applications. All tanks are manufactured to American Water Works Association Standard D103, which qualifies the range of tanks as suitable for use in fire fighting applications.
