Flowrox’s Expulse is a flexible inline pulsation dampener for troublesome pipelines, employing a double-hose structure with an expanding inner hose, reinforced outer hose and compressed air in the space between the two; this allows it to absorb up to 90% or more of pipeline pulsations.
Expulse, according to the supplier, does not need diaphragms or bladders and is naturally resistant to wear, corrosion and most chemicals. It does not collect sediment or particles, as it cleans itself on every pulse. Due to its flexibility, Flowrox Expulse compensates for possible misalignments of the pipeline and provides a flexible connection to the pump. The dampener also reduces hammering effects on the pipeline and pump, leading to increased pump bearing and gearbox service life.
