Illinois, USA-based industrial oven builder Grieve now offers the No. 834 electrically heated shelf oven, useful for drying trays of ore samples. The unit has 4-in.-thick insulated walls and a Type 430 stainless steel interior. A 1,000-cfm (0.5 m3/sec), 1-hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the oven’s contents.
Nichrome wire heating elements provide temperatures up to 550°F (287.78°C). Controls include a digital indicating temperature controller, recirculating blower airflow safety switch and a manual reset excess-temperature controller with separate contactors. The unit measures 50 in. wide x 30 in. deep x 54 in. high (1,270 x 762 x 1,372 mm). Stainless steel pans are held by three tiers of 17 shelf supports.
