ASGCO says its Super-Skalper XC primary conveyor belt cleaning system can handle tough applications, performing carry-back removal on conveyors that carry the large volumes of material typically encountered in mining applications.
For heavy-duty, high-abrasion installations, ASGCO claims the Super-Skalper XC blades wear longer than standard blades and can be used in applications with speeds of 1,400 fpm (7 m/sec). Although the new 10-in. (250 mm) XC blade has the same blade design as the company’s Super-Skalper blade, it also has ceramic beads embedded in the polyurethane; the beads, when riding on high-speed belts, remain cooler than the urethane due to lower friction.
