Talbert Manufacturing has developed another innovation for its line of spread axle trailers. The Equalizer is a nitrogen-assisted dampening system that hydraulically transfers loads in all terrains. This suspension system oscillates around a central self-tracking pivot point to provide proportionate weight distribution in each axle grouping, regardless of varying road conditions. Designed as a simple user-friendly system, operators can make easy and quick adjustments, and maintain those settings to maximize loads safely and efficiently. By hydraulically dampening axle movement and controlling load transfer, the Equalizer suspension system absorbs hauling and loading shocks; providing a greater range of suspension movement for reduced stress and a smoother ride. The Equalizer is available for use with Talbert 55SA (55-ton) and 60SA (60-ton) 3+1 spread axle series trailers and axle attachments. In addition to its advanced design, The Equalizer also incorporates a dual two-speed landing gear making connecting the trailer to the axle attachment much easier. The design of The Equalizer also allows the axle attachment to be lifted out of the way easily for backing. The Equalizer allows a 14-ft, 1-in. spread with 54-in. axle spacing; and a 14-ft, 7-in. spread with 60-in. axle spacing. The system is powered by a Honda gas engine power pack as standard. www.talbertmfg.com
