The Zambian Government has stepped up security measures at Sinazongwe’s Collum coal mine and has assured the Chinese investors of maximum protection against any form of harm that might be perpetrated by miners. Dodo Sindanza said the Zambian Government appreciates Chinese investment because it has given a lot of jobs to Zambians. He called upon the Chinese community to work together with government authorities in finding a lasting solution that will prevent a recurrence of the workers protests.
