Thiess, one of the largest mining contractors and a subsidiary of the CIMIC Group, recently announced it won three contracts for coal mining operation in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The company secured a $150 million contract extension to provide mine services at Arutmin’s Senakin coal mine. The 2.5-year contract extension, will see Thiess continue to provide coal mining services across the Arutmin owned, CLS-managed project including overburden removal, coal handling and preparation works.
