SNL, a provider of financial information on public and private companies in the energy, metals and mining, and other business sectors, announced in January the acquisition of IntierraRMG, a Sweden-based compiler of databases and sector-specific modules that offers information about lease ownership, company evaluations, M&A, risk management, due diligence, competitor intelligence and project pipeline trends.
In addition to the current products available to SNL clients, the newly combined service—to be called SNL Metals & Mining—will now provide mining claims data for more than 60 countries, coverage of coal and other commodities, coverage of early stage assets, and Raw Materials Group’s strategic consulting and forecast data. The acquisition also has enabled SNL to expand its global footprint, with offices in Perth, Australia; Stockholm, Sweden; and Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto, Canada.
