Aconex, a major provider of online project collaboration solutions, announced that Cook Engineering will to use its project collaboration platform on PotashCorp’s $2.8 billion Rocanville potash mine expansion in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Aconex said it will provide the organizations involved in the development with a central, Web-based platform for managing project information such as drawings, documents and  correspondence. By using the system, project members will be able to access, distribute, track and archive their data in real time, from any location and at any time.

The expansion of Rocanville mine is expected to boost capacity by 2.7 million mt/y when it is completed at the end of 2012. Cook Engineering is using Aconex on the Scissors Creek development, which involves sinking a new shaft into a previously untapped deposit at Rocanville.
