Hazemag recently reported that VKG Kaevandused ordered a wobbler feeder and roll crusher for processing oil shale at the Ojamaa mine in Estonia, and the machines have passed an acceptance test conducted at Hazemag’s facility in Dülmen.

The wobbler feeder, located upstream from the roll crusher, screens the fines from the feed material at approximately 1,000 mt/h, while approximately 250 mt/h of coarse material is processed by the roll crusher to reach a desired particle size of 0-125 mm. Hazemag said that, by using the wobbler feeder as a primary screen, the customer could process the material satisfactorily with a smaller-sized crusher.

The gap of the roll crusher can be infinitely varied using a hydraulic system. In case a contaminant enters the machine, the movably supported roll moves aside hydraulically, lets the contaminant pass and moves back into its preset position.
