Barrick’s engineering and electrical staff specified the plant be supplied with Allen-Bradley electrical components and a non-proprietary programmable logic controller (PLC). The plant was wired in sealed cable and heavy-duty aluminum tray as designed, supplied and installed by PA+PO, and a local electrical subcontractor. The electrical motor control and automation system was installed in a converted customized 40-ft container insulated and lined in stainless steel and aluminum.
