Cyanco Holding Corp. announced in late August the successful ramp-up of capacity expansion at its sodium cyanide solution plant in Winnemucca, Nevada, USA, raising capacity from 93,000 to 110,000 mt/y.

Cyanco said the latest Winnemucca expansion is another step in its growth strategy in the North American market. Over a series of expansions, the Winnemucca plant’s capacity has grown from 39,000 mt/y in 2008 to the current level. Cyanco focuses on the North American market from the two plants in the Winnemucca facility. In addition, the company operates regionally focused distribution terminals in Quebec, Canada, and Hermosillo, Mexico.

Since 2012, Cyanco and Posabro Corp. have partnered to market and distribute Cyanco’s solid and solution sodium cyanide throughout Mexico via the distribution terminal in Hermosillo, and said it is planning additional terminals in other gold mining regions of Mexico.
