Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. announced that David Delaney, executive vice president and COO, will retire. Named to his current position in 2010, he has been instrumental in leading the company through the finalization of the largest expansion program in its history.

Turquoise Hill Resources appointed Brendan Lane as vice president, operations and development. Since 2013, Lane has served as Minera Escondida Limitada and Grasberg finance director at Rio Tinto Copper.

UC RUSAL appointed Evgeny Popov as managing director of Sayanogorsk Aluminum Smelter. Previously, Popov worked as director of the production department of the aluminum division. Evgeny Kuriyanov has been appointed as managing director of Irkutsk Aluminium Smelter.

Previously, Kuriyanov worked as director for reduction process at Krasnoyarsk Aluminium Smelter. In addition, Anton Savchenko, who previously worked as managing director of SAZ, joins RUSAL’s government relations team. Vladimir Berstenev, who formerly worked as managing director of IrkAZ, will keep on working for the division as the adviser to the director. Also, Chris Evans has been appointed project director for price benchmarking.

Triton Minerals appointed Garth Higgo as the new CEO and Rod Baxter a nonexecutive director.

Compañia de Minas Buenaventura announced that John Marsden has resigned as a member of the board of directors. William Champion was appointed a new board member. Champion is a principal at Gladiator Mining Group and director of American Sands Energy Corp.

Dominion Diamond appointed Jim Gowans to the board of directors. The board intends to appoint Gowans the nonexecutive chairman. Gowans is currently president, CEO and director of Arizona Mining. Previously, he was co-president of Barrick Gold.

Robert Brown has been appointed as vice president of corporate development for Hecla Mining following the retirement of Don Poirier. Prior his appointment, he served as an advisor to Hecla since March.

KBL Mining Ltd. appointed Greg Starr to managing director. He replaces Brian Wesson who has resigned. Starr has been a nonexecutive director for the past two years. Previously, he was managing director of Crater Gold Mining Co. Ltd. KBL also said Charles Brown has been appointed as a nonexecutive director following the resignation of David Laing as a nonexecutive director. Brown is the executive vice president, mine engineering, with Quintana Resources Capital ULC.

McEwen Mining appointed Colin Sutherland as its president. Rob McEwen will remain the chairman and CEO. Most recently, Sutherland was CEO and managing director of Archipelago Resources Plc.

Tiger Resources announced that Neil Fearis has stepped down as chairman and retired from the board. Mark Connelly has assumed the role of chairman. Fearis, who was appointed chairman in May 2011, has overseen the development of the Kipoi copper project in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Double Coin and CMA announced that Donald “Donnie” Streiff is the U.S. southwest regional sales manager.

Sulliden Mining Capital appointed Paul Pint as president. Pint will work alongside Justin Reid who will continue to serve as Sulliden’s CEO and director.

Eco Oro Minerals announced that Mark Moseley-Williams has been promoted to president and CEO. He previously served as Eco Oro’s president and COO.

Beaufield Resources appointed Mathieu Stephens to vice president, exploration and corporate development. Previously, he was the senior geologist and chief geologist.

Amec Foster Wheeler announced that Samir Brikho is stepping down as chief executive. Ian McHoul, CFO, has been appointed into the role of interim CEO with immediate effect and will chair the Group Leadership Team while the search for the new CEO is conducted.

Melkior Resources appointed Sabino Di Paola, currently CFO, as the new interim CEO and president, and Wayne Holmstead as the exploration manager. These changes follow the retirement of Jens Hansen, current president and CEO.

Vast Resources appointed Graham Briggs as a nonexecutive director. Briggs has held the position of CEO and board member of Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd. for eight years. Vast also appointed Pierre Joubert as CFO. Until he became self-employed in 2012, Joubert spent seven years with the Macquarie Natural Resources Group in the Far East.

BKT USA has hired three regional sales managers: Blaine Koller is the new regional sales manager handling BKT’s Northwest territory. Most recently, he was sales manager for the western coast of British Columbia. Gary Pompa and Peter Row have both been added as OTR regional sales managers based in BKT’s office in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Caterpillar elected Denise Johnson, currently vice president with responsibility for the Material Handling and Underground Division, as group president of Resources Industries, effective April 1. The appointment follows the recently announced retirement of Group President Ed Rapp.

Total Spectrum announced Fred Palmer as a partner of the firm. Most recently, he served as the special advisor to the office of Peabody’s executive chairman.

GIW Industries announced that Wolfgang Demmler has assumed his new role as president and managing director of the company. Demmler takes over the leadership role from the previous president, Dennis Ziegler, who retired at the end of 2015.

Dr. Marwansyah Lobo Balia has been appointed director of Micromine Indonesia.

Michael Woloschuk has been appointed to a new role within FLSmidth as group key industry director—gold. He comes from Waterton Global Resource Management where he was a partner and head of process engineering for Canada’s largest precious metals-focused private equity fund.

Minemax appointed Joe Kraft to the position of general manager of Americas.
