Kinross Gold announced that Warwick Morley-Jepson, executive vice-president and COO, will leave the company. Lauren Roberts has been appointed COO, effective January 1, 2017. Roberts has been with Kinross since 2004 and was most recently senior vice president, corporate development. Kinross also appointed Paul Tomory the newly created role of chief technical officer, effective January 1, 2017.
Premier Gold Mines announced that Charles Ronkos has joined the company as executive vice president, project development, Americas. Most recently, he was senior vice president, exploration, at Goldcorp.

Tahoe Resources announced a number of management changes: Ron Clayton will be promoted from president and COO to president and CEO. Elizabeth McGregor, currently the vice president and treasurer, will become vice president and CFO. Mark Sadler, currently vice president and CFO, is moving to the position of vice president, project development. Tom Fudge was promoted to vice president, operations. David Howe joins as vice president of operations, Guatemala, and managing director, Minera San Rafael, replaces Fudge in Guatemala. Phil Dalke has been promoted to vice president, Peru operations, and managing director, Rio Alto SAC. Tim Williams has departed as vice president of operations. Peter Van Alphen will serve as vice president, Timmins Operations, in Ontario.

Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. appointed Duncan Middlemiss as president and CEO. Rolly Uloth who has held the position for the past three years, will continue as a director. Middlemiss was the president and CEO and a director of St. Andrew Goldfields Ltd. until its acquisition by Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. in January.
Newmarket Gold appointed John Landmark as vice president, exploration. In addition, Lukas Lundin, a founder of Newmarket, is retiring from the board of directors and will join the Newmarket Advisory Board. Most recently, Landmark was the regional head of exploration for Anglo American.

Dr. Braden T. Lusk, professor of mining engineering at the University of Kentucky and a two-time graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology, has been named chair of the mining and nuclear engineering department at Missouri S&T.
The U.S. National Mining Association welcomed Ashley Burke as the mining organization’s senior vice president for communications. Burke was previously global director of communications for Dentons.
Dust Control Technology appointed Laura Stiverson as president of the company.
Modular Mining Systems announced that company co-founder and chairman emeritus, Dr. James Wm. White, has retired. In 1979, Dr. White became the executive vice president. Dr. White’s vision of an automated, computerized dispatching system, led to the development of the DISPATCH Fleet Management system, which changed the way mines operate in real time.

Dominion Diamond Corp. announced that after his extended battle with leukemia, Robert Gannicott passed away at the age of 69. Gannicott was a member of the board of directors since the company’s inception as a diamond company in 1992. He was chairman of the board from June 2004 until April 2016, and was CEO from September 1999 to July 2015. Gannicott led the company through its growth following the discovery and founding of the Diavik Diamonds Project in 1994 and 1995, through to the acquisition of the iconic American luxury diamond jewelry brand, Harry Winston. He later took advantage of a rare opportunity with the acquisition of the Ekati diamond mine and sale of Harry Winston, returning the company to its roots as a pure-play Canadian diamond miner. The company was renamed Dominion Diamond Corp.
